CANADA, LIBYA SIGN OIL DEAL
LONDON [MENL] -- A Canadian company has signed a contract for exploration ofenergy in Libya. The Calgary-based company, Verenex Energy, has signed a five-year oilexploration accord with Tripoli. Executives said the deal would enableVerenex and its partner, PT Medco Energi International, the rights toexplore for crude oil and natural gas over a 6,000-square kilometer inLibya's northwestern Ghadames basin.
