Qatari Energy Minister Abdullah Bin Hamad Al Attiyah said the Gulf
Cooperation Council emirate would not sell LNG to Israel. Abdullah said he
discussed energy cooperation with Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni
during their meeting on April 15 in Qatar.
"We are not discussing selling gas to Israel because we are sold out,"
Abdullah said on April 19.
Abdullah said Qatar would sell LNG to the highest bidder. He said Qatar
was diverting LNG shipments ordered by the European Union and the United
States to China.
