TEL AVIV [MENL] -- Israeli authorities have launched an exercise to test the
response to a Hizbullah rocket attack from Lebanon.The northern city of Haifa underwent the exercise on Thursday. Police,
the military as well as civil authorities participated in the exercise.Officials said the exercise was based on the scenario of a Hizbullah
Katyusha attack on a northern suburb of Haifa. Hizbullah is said to have
obtained rockets with a range of 70 kilometers, which could reach the city.Last week, Israeli Defense Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer said Hizbullah
has amassed nearly 10,000 rockets along the southern border with Israel.
