LONDON [MENL] -- South Korea plans to launch a marketing campaign to sell
new weapons to Egypt.Officials said the campaign will begin in April when a Defense Ministry
delegation from Seoul arrives in Cairo. The delegation will meet Egyptian
Defense Ministry officials and military commanders in what officials term
will be a seminar to expand defense relations with Egypt.South Korea has launched a marketing drive to sell weapons throughout
the Middle East. Officials said the first market was Turkey. A South Korean
delegation ended 10 days of talks in Ankara on March 27."After winding up the meeting with Turkey, our delegation will head to
Egypt to explore possibilities of forging military industry cooperation," a
South Korean defense official said.
