UAE SIGNS GAS DEAL WITH BECHTEL

ABU DHABI [MENL] -- The United Arab Emirates has launched a major projectwith the U.S. firm Bechtel. Abu Dhabi Gas Industries, or Gasco, said it signed a $1.2 billioncontract with Bechtel to construct a huge natural gas plant in the UAE. TheUAE firm said the facility would treat 800 million standard cubic feet ofgas per day to recover 6,400 tons of natural liquefied gas.
