EGYPT ALLOWED NAVAL PRESENCE OFF SINAI COAST

JERUSALEM [MENL] -- Israel has agreed in principle to the Egyptianmilitarization of the eastern Sinai that would include air, ground and navalforces. Israeli officials said Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has agreed to anEgyptian military presence along the entire border with Israel in theeastern Sinai Peninsula. They said the presence would seek to bolstersecurity and prevent the smuggling of weapons from the Sinai to the GazaStrip.
