BUSH WAIVES SANCTIONS ON SAUDIS
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- President Bush has waived financial sanctions on SaudiArabia connected to its failure to end human trafficking. Saudi Arabia was one of 14 countries deemed as having failed to addressthe slave trade, which included prostitutes and minors. In June 2005, theState Department listed 14 countries as subject to sanctions unless theydemonstrated progress in ending human trafficking.
