U.S. Firm Receives Contract For Mi-17s To Iraq
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- A U.S. company has received a $325 million contract to
sell Russian-origin utility helicopters to the Iraq Air Force.
ARINC has been awarded a contract by the Defense Department to supply 22
new Mi-17s to Iraq. Industry sources said the $325 million award, relayed in
2008, represented the highest per unit price paid for the Mi-17.
