JERUSALEM [MENL] -- The Palestinian Authority has been sued for nearly $140
million by relatives of victims of Fatah attacks against Israel.
Fourteen people have filed a 450 million shekel suit against the PA, the
Palestine Liberation Organization and former Fatah militia leader Marwan
Barghouti. The suit, filed in the Jerusalem District Court on July 24,
charged that Barghouti organized attacks -- particularly two in 2001 near
the Jewish community of Givat Ze'ev north of Jerusalem -- against Israeli
civilians in coordination with the late PA Chairman Yasser Arafat.
