WASHINGTON [MENL] -- A U.S. district court has dismissed a suit by minority
shareholders of a leading Israeli satellite firm.
The U.S. district court in New York City has dismissed a claim by
minority shareholders of ImageSat International against the company's board
of directors. The shareholders asserted that ImageSat rejected an
opportunity for a major satellite contract with Venezuela under orders by
the Israeli government. Israel has been under U.S. pressure to end military and dual-use
projects with the government of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez.
