AMMAN [MENL] -- Jordan has renewed its dialogue with the Hamas movement.
Palestinian sources said the Hashemite kingdom has decided to resume
talks with the Hamas leadership based in Syria. The sources said the
dialogue has been assigned to Jordan's intelligence community, particularly
domestic intelligence chief Mohammed Al Thahabi.
"Jordan has decided that it can no longer ignore the rising power of
Hamas whether in the kingdom or abroad," a Palestinian source familiar with
the talks said.
