U.S. Divides Logistics Contracts In Mideast
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The U.S. Army has divided logistics contracts in the
Middle East and surrounding region.
The army said three companies would be granted contracts for logistics
support services for troops in Afghanistan, Iraq and Kuwait. In a decision
that defied a congressional agency, the army selected the U.S.-based
DynCorp, Kellogg, Brown and Root and Fluor Intercontinental.
"It was the right thing for the Army to do," Jeff Parsons, executive
director of the new U.S. Army Contracting Command, said.
