ISRAELI ORDER OF U.S. JEEPS ENDANGERS LOCAL FIRM

TEL AVIV [MENL] -- An Israeli military order of 100 jeeps has endangered alocal manufacturer. The Defense Ministry has decided to purchase 100 Land Rover Defender 90 jeeps from the United States for Israel's military. The armored jeeps, termed David, would be financed from the annual $2.3 billion in U.S. military aid to Israel.
