EGYPT CONDUCTS SATELLITE PROJECT

CAIRO [MENL] -- Egypt has been administering an international tender for a dual-use communications satellite. Officials said the Egyptian government has issued a Request for Proposal as part of Cairo's effort to procure a 200-million-euro satellite. They said the competition has pitted European and U.S. defense majors.
