SALAFIST INCREASE ATTACKS IN ALGERIA

CAIRO [MENL] -- An Al Qaida-aligned group has escalated its insurgencycampaign in Algeria. The Salafist Brigade for Combat and Call has launched a series ofattacks on Algerian civilian and military targets over the last few weeks.The brigade has accompanied the attacks with an information campaign thatmodeled the Al Qaida network in Iraq.
