ALGERIA REPORTS SURRENDER OF 200 INSURGENTS

CAIRO [MENL] -- Algeria has reported the surrender of 200 Islamicinsurgents. Algerian Interior Minister Noureddine Yazid Zerhouni said about 200insurgents have given themselves up as part of an amnesty offered byPresident Abdul Aziz Bouteflika. Zerhouni did not identify the insurgents,but security sources said they included members of the Al Qaida-alignedSalafist Brigade for Combat and Call.
