EU SUSPENDS $42M IN AID TO PA

LONDON [MENL] -- The European Union has suspended $42 million in aid to thePalestinian Authority. The EU said the PA has failed to fulfill its obligations to enforcebudgetary discipline. The suspension, which officials said was unrelated tothe Hamas victory on Jan. 25, withheld half of $84 million aid pledged tothe PA.
