SYRIA CONTINUES TO SEND INSURGENTS TO IRAQ

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- Syria continues to serve as a base for the Sunniinsurgency in Iraq. A Defense Department report said Al Qaida and other insurgency groupshave used Syria as a training base and haven for operations in Iraq. Thereport said the Syrian government has facilitated the flow of insurgents forattacks against the U.S.-led coalition.
