ISRAEL DEVELOPS SYSTEM AGAINST RPGs

TEL AVIV [MENL] -- Israel has developed a system meant to protect unarmoredmilitary vehicles against anti-tank missiles and rockets. The state-owned Israel Military Industries has concluded the developmentof an active protection system [APS] termed "Iron Fist." Iron Fist was saidto be capable of defeating unguided anti-tank rockets, anti-tank guidedmissiles and anti-tank kinetic energy rounds.
