Israeli Firm Wins Pentagon IR Contract
TEL AVIV [MENL] -- An Israeli joint venture has won a U.S. government
contract for the development of advanced infrared detector technology.
SCD SemiConducter Devices, a joint venture of Israel's Elbit Systems and
Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, has won a U.S. project worth $1.75 million
to
develop what executives termed new infrared detector technology. The project
has been sponsored by the Defense Department's Defense Advanced Research
Projects Agency, responsible for the development of military technology.
