Iran Reports Launch Of SLV

NICOSIA [MENL] -- Iran has reported the firing of a satellite launch
vehicle.
Officials said the SLV was launched on late Aug. 16 and could transport
a communications satellite into space orbit. They said the SLV, termed
Safir, or Ambassador, would be used to launch up to five satellites over the
next three years.
