Iraq Army Takes Over More Logistics Duties

BAGHDAD [MENL] -- The Iraq Army has assumed an increasing role in
logistics and maintenance.
Officials said the Iraq Army has been taking over responsibility for the
maintenance of the Humvee combat vehicle. They said Iraqi soldiers in Taji
were restoring disabled Humvees without help from the U.S.-led coalition.
"We make sure the Iraqis get the necessary training and advice, so that
they may operate their own military properly," Capt. Thomas Obrien, an aide
de camp for the Iraqi Assistance Group, said.
