Kuwait Delays Refinery Tender

ABU DHABI [MENL] -- Kuwait, amid a reassessment of costs, has suspended a
tender to modernize a major oil refinery.
Officials said the project to upgrade the Mina Abdullah and Mina Al
Ahmadi refineries would be launched in October 2008. The state-owned Kuwait
National Petroleum Co. had been scheduled to open the tender in August.
