U.S. OIL FIRMS RESUME PRODUCTION IN LIBYA

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The United States has been allowed to resume oilproduction in Libya. Three American companies have paid Libya $1.83 billion to resume oilproduction. The three companies, -- ConocoPhillips, Marathon Oil and AmeradaHess -- ended activities in Libya in 1986.
