ABU DHABI [MENL] -- Saudi Arabia, amid a crackdown, has ruled out the
prospect of an Al Qaida strike during the Muslim fast of Ramadan.
The Saudi Interior Ministry said authorities have completed massive
security preparations to prevent an insurgency strike during the month of
Ramadan, which begins on Sept. 1. The ministry said police and security
forces would monitor and protect the hundreds of thousands of pilgrims
expected to enter the Gulf kingdom.
