IRAN FRUSTRATED OVER BORDER UNREST

NICOSIA [MENL] -- Iran appears frustrated over the Arab and Kurdishinsurgency in the western part of the country. Officials said Teheran has failed to quell the insurgency in bothnorthwestern and southwestern Iran, along the Iraqi border. They said Araband Kurdish separatists, financed by Britain and the United States, havemaintained a stream of attacks on Iranian government targets in the region.
