AL QAIDA AND SALAFIST EXCHANGE MESSAGES

CAIRO [MENL] -- Al Qaida and a leading ally have exchanged messages in whatcould be preparations for a major attack in Europe. Arab diplomatic sources said the messages were exchanged last monthfollowed by a high-level meeting between the two groups. The sources saidthe meeting took place in the African state of Niger.
