BRITAIN SUPPLIES CW TECHNOLOGY TO LIBYA, SUDAN

LONDON [MENL] -- Britain is said to be transferring weapons of massdestruction technology to such Middle East countries as Libya and Sudan. An investigation by the Glasgow-based Sunday Herald asserts that Britainis supplying chemical warfare technology to 26 countries. The newspaper saidthe government of Prime Minister Tony Blair is allowing the export ofchemicals banned under international law as well as dual-use material thatcould be used in the assembly of chemical weapons.
