IRAN SEEKS TO EXPORT ROCKET SYSTEMS

NICOSIA [MENL] -- Iran has launched marketing of new indigenous rockets. Industry sources said Iran's state-owned defense industry has approachedformer Soviet clients in the Middle East to purchase a series ofshort-range rockets. The systems are similar to Soviet-originmultiple-launch rockets sold to such countries as Algeria, Egypt and Syria.
