TURKEY READY FOR U.S. DEPLOYMENT

ANKARA [MENL] -- Turkey, under heavy pressure from the Bush administration,has paved the way for the immediate deployment of up to 40,000 U.S. troops. On Monday, the Cabinet of Prime Minister Abdullah Gul approvedWashington's request for the immediate deployment of U.S. troops in any waragainst Iraq. Officials said the Cabinet sent the decision to parliament fora vote expected by Wednesday.
