EGYPT RAISES SECURITY ALERT
CAIRO [MENL] -- Egypt has raised its security alert amid massive anti-U.S.rallies in cities around the country. Officials said the alert has resulted in the bolstering of Egyptiansecurity forces and the introduction of anti-riot units in major cities.CAIRO, Feb 24 (MENA) - Egyptian Minister of Interior Habib al-Adli saidMonday Egypt adheres to effective legal measures in her battle againstterrorism.Addressing the Parliament's Committee of Defence and National Security, Adlisaid the entire world has rapidly made exceptional legal amendments to faceterror crimes.He said the number of terror attacks that took place over the world duringJanuary hit 62 operations in which 352 people were killed and 356 werewounded.
