U.S. ARMS SALES TO TURKEY THREATENED

ANKARA [MENL] -- Turkish plans to purchase U.S. weapons could be underthreat amid Ankara's refusal to allow the deployment of American troops inthe planned war against Iraq. Turkish defense sources said they expect significant delays or outrightrejections for Ankara's requests for technology transfers in connection withorders for U.S. attack helicopters and airborne early-warning and controlaircraft.The sources said delays have already been felt in Turkey's Defense Ministry.
