Hamas Warns Abbas To Step Down

RAMALLAH [MENL] -- Hamas has sent a series of warnings to Palestinian
Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas to step down in 2009.
Hamas officials said Abbas must resign his post as PA chairman in
January 2009. The officials said any attempt by Abbas to remain after Jan. 9
would be regarded as illegitimate.
