Saudi Arabia Seeks Apache Helicopters

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- Saudi Arabia has submitted a formal request for
additional advanced attack helicopters from the United States.
Saudi Arabia has requested the purchase of 12 AH-64D Apache Longbow
attack helicopters in a sale estimated at nearly $600 million. Under the
proposal, the Arab kingdom would acquire the Block 2 Apache Longbows with
advanced target designating systems, fire control radars and communications.
