SADDAM LOYALISTS SPLIT AMID NEW STRATEGY

BAGHDAD [MENL] -- Loyalists to deposed Iraqi President Saddam Hussein havesplit into rival factions in wake of his capture by the United States. Iraqi security sources said the Saddam-controlled Baath Party hassplintered into at least three factions. The sources said the factions arefighting for control over the Sunni Triangle as well as the remnants ofSaddam's finances.
