Auxiliary Police Begin To Merge With Iraqi Military

BAGHDAD [MENL] -- Iraq's Sunni-dominated auxiliary force has begun to merge
with the military.
Officials said the Awakening Council, with more than 90,000 auxiliary
police officers, has taken the first step toward integration with Iraq's
military and security forces. They said the process was moving slowly to
avoid ethnic and professional friction.
