UK OFFERS WEAPONS TO IRAQ
LONDON [MENL] -- Britain has agreed to donate weaponry to Iraq's new armyand security force. Britain's Defence Ministry announced that Iraq would receive 2.5 millionpounds, or $4.6 million, in weapons, ammunition and body armor. The ministrysaid in a statement on Nov. 10 that the supply was meant to bolster Iraq'ssecurity forces and relieve the burden on British troops in Iraq.
