ISRAEL'S ARMY ORDERS APVs

TEL AVIV [MENL] -- Israel's military has ordered and tested indigenousarmored personnel vehicles. The Defense Ministry has ordered the Ze'ev armored personnel vehiclefrom Rafael, Israel Armament Development Authority for the Ground ForcesCommand. The Ze'ev has been described as a vehicle based on a commercialFord F550 4x4 chassis and protected by Rafael's light armor package. Theplatform includes a 7.62 mm machine gun turret.
