Morocco Builds Military Base Near Spain

CAIRO [MENL] -- Morocco has launched construction of a major military base.
The Moroccan Defense Ministry has begun building a naval base in Tantan.
The naval base in Tantan, which faces Spain's Canary Islands, was meant to
enhance maritime security, battle illegal migration and protect the kingdom
from neighboring Algeria.
