NICOSIA [MENL] -- Lebanese intelligence has determined that Syria was
responsible for a series of bombings against the Lebanese Army in the north.
Lebanese sources said army intelligence has assessed that the regime of
President Bashar Assad directed agents to attack Lebanese patrols and other
military targets around Tripoli in mid-2008. They said the agents were part
of the Al Qaida-aligned Fatah Al Islam group.
