ALGERIA SEEKS NEW FRANCO-RUSSIAN TRAINER

LONDON [MENL] -- Algeria has been examining the prospect of procuring a newcombat air trainer developed by France and Russia. Russian industry sources said Algeria has been negotiating with Russiafor up to 80 MiG-AT advanced jet trainers. The MiG-AT was being developed bythe MiG Corp. in cooperation with a French consortium of Snecma and Thales.
