BRITISH FIRM TO MANAGE KUWAITI FIELDS

LONDON [MENL] -- A British firm has won a contract to manage Kuwaiti oilfields. Amec Plc., a construction and engineering services firm, said it won acontract worth $300 million with the state-owned Kuwait Oil Co. to manage $5billion worth of oil field projects in southern Kuwait. Amec replaces theU.S. companies Bechtel and Parsons.
