ISRAEL'S MILITARY LAUNCHES C4I PROJECT

TEL AVIV [MENL] -- Israel's military, shaking off concerns of a severebudget shortfall, has launched an ambitious command, control,communications, computer and information project for the ground forces. The Ground Forces Command has begun its Digital Ground Force projectmeant to link all parts of the army. They include links between bases andground force assets with both command and control facilities as well asamong tactical forces.
