U.S. DISAPPOINTED OVER EU POLICY TOWARD HAMAS

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The United States remains disappointed with EuropeanUnion policy toward Hamas. U.S. officials said the Bush administration has welcomed the EU decisionin 2003 to designate Hamas a terrorist organization. But they said the EUhas largely failed to enforce the designation and continues to allow Hamasto raise money.
