Al Qaida Groups Grow In Gaza

TEL AVIV [MENL] -- Despite a Hamas crackdown, Al Qaida continues to grow in
the Gaza Strip.
A leading Israeli analyst said Al Qaida-aligned groups, known as
Salafists, have penetrated the Hamas movement and regime over the last few
months. The analyst, Jonathan Spyer, a senior research fellow at the Global
Research in International Affairs Center, asserted that Hamas has been
powerless to stop the growth of the Salafists, believed financed by Saudi
Arabia.
