Obama Blocks Iranian Opposition Alliance

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- President Barack Obama has been accused of blocking a
plan to unite opposition groups in Iran.
An Iranian opposition leader said the Obama administration halted
efforts for a pro-democracy alliance against the mullah regime in Teheran.
The leader said the alliance could have toppled Iranian President Mahmoud
Ahmadinejad during student protests against his reelection in June 2009.
