TEL AVIV [MENL] -- Israel has unveiled prototypes of two missile and rocket
interceptors meant to defend against Hamas and Hizbullah.
The Israel Air Force displayed interceptor prototypes meant to be used
in two rocket and missile defense systems. The interceptors were developed
by the state-owned Rafael Advanced Defense Systems but were not said to have
been test-fired against enemy missiles.
"We are in a period during which the enemy is accelerating the ballistic
missile threat in all the various fronts," Air Defense Command chief Brig.
Gen. Daniel Milo said.
