Al Qaida Targets Palestinian Refugee Camps
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- Al Qaida appears to have been targeting Palestinian
refugee camps for indoctrination and recruitment, a report said.
The Jamestown Foundation said Al Qaida and its allies were bolstering
efforts to infiltrate Palestinian refugee camps in the Gaza Strip, Jordan,
Lebanon and Syria. The foundation, in a report by Murad Batal Al Shishani,
said the Al Qaida-aligned Fatah Al Islam was recruiting cells in such
Lebanese camps as Bidawi and Burj Al Shamali.
