TEL AVIV [MENL] -- Israel and the United States were said to have ended
cooperation in military technology.
A senior Israeli official asserted that the United States has blocked
the export of defense and dual-use technology to Israel. The official said
Washington has deemed Israel a rival in the global defense market.
"In the purely professional sense in which technology personnel
understand the term 'technology,' there is no cooperation today between the
two countries," Israel Space Agency director Yitzhak Ben-Yisrael said. "In
contrast to practices of the past, Israel has not received any technological
know-how from the Americans in recent years."
