Israeli Firm Awarded U.S. Mortar Contract

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- An Israeli defense major has been awarded a contract
for the U.S. Army.
Israel's Elbit Systems was contracted by the Defense Department to
supply a range of armor and mortar systems for the U.S. Army. Under an $8.8
million contract, Elbit's subsidiary, Elbit Systems of America, would
develop and support mortar fire control systems for army units.
